Louis Garneau Quartz Helmet.
French professional rider Thomas Voekler wore the Tour de France leaders jersey for 10 days in 2011. The other stylish bit of kit he wore during this period (and the remainder of the year) was a Garneau Quartz helmet.
Custom painted for Voeklers stint in yellow, these fantastically ventilated helmets are now available at Ivanhoe Cycles in 3, match almost anything colours of white, black or red. Unlike most helmets, they are available in 4 sizes, each with an adjustment range of 3cm. This availability of sizes ensures everyone can have a helmet that really does fit correctly.
Not only are these helmets exceptionally good looking, but they fit really well, have ventilation superior to any other with an amazing 33 vents, are extremely light weight at just 250grams, and best of all are around half the price of other high end light weight race helmets. The Quartz sets itself apart from the opposition with enormous ventilation channels made possible by the MSB technology (a monocoque structural base at the base of the helmet that reinforces the perimeter for enhanced protection) and also by Composite Reinforcements that spread the shock of impacts, provide support, and are lightweight. The Spiderlock® SL Retention allows the user to adjust the helmet with only one hand to ensure safety while on the bike. It can be angle adjusted and also provided with ergonomic foam padding. A low profile V-Pro System Visor allows the user to keep or remove the visor as preferred.

- Quartz Visor: Specifically designed for the Quartz, this visor perfectly adapts to the helmet design. Can be installed with the included V-Pro system.
