During his 12 seasons as a professional cyclist, Maurizio Fondriest achieved 69 important victories, including in 1988, the World Championships at the relatively young age of 23. Other major succeses included the World Cycling Cup in 1991 and 1993, the mythical Milano-San Remo in 1993, and collected many important successes during his career both in traditional championships as well as stages in the Giro d’Italia and the Tour de France.
Today, as in the past, he continues to be a great fan of this wonderful sport. Careful and meticulous about the technical aspect of bicycles, his focus as an athlete and now as a manufacturer is the optmum positioning of the rider. His aim, to make bikes that are pleasant to ride, pleasing to the eye and which allow the rider to yield the benefit of his exertion. As a rider Maurizio was all style and class and this trait is evident in his latest range of bikes.
Ever since Maurizio began his cycle company, he realized that every single detail of the bicycle would have to reflect his personality and professionalism, and so ensured the style and perfection he demanded and displayed as a rider were traits in the DNA of every frame to bare his name. Over the past years, he has registered several patents because he has always believed in R&D, and every new idea that comes to life is a new challenge, just as was his famous victory in Renaix in 1988.
