Product Information
Giant Cypress 1 2012.
The Giant Cypress range is, without a doubt, our most popular hybrid range.
Let me explain why, starting with this bike, the Giant Cypress 1.On the Cypress 1, we find a number of brilliant features which all add up to a perfectly comfortable and swift ride. We'll start with the frame which is an ALUXX formed alloy comfort frame. Giant designed ALUXX frames to create a lightweight, stiff frame with minimum weight, but maximum strength.
The Cypress has RST Neon 60mm suspension forks. The Neon forks are make for urban commuting and fitness. But not only does it have these quality forks, it has lockout as well. This means when you are going up a hill, you can simply turn the knob at the top of the forks and switch off the suspension. Suspension while hill climbing can absorb a lot of your power, so this is a simple way to get the most out of your pedalling up hills. Once at the top of the hill, simple turn the knob again and the suspension will kick in!
The drivetrain is Shimano Alivio (a recreational mountain bike gear system) for reliability and handling. And the Alloy V brakes are known for efficiency and reliability .
The bike is designed to maximise comfort. The saddle is plush and wide enough to ensure a very comfortable ride. The saddle is supported on a suspension seat pillar, which irons out the most of the impact if you accidentally hit a pothole or the like. It may sound insignificant, but well designed grips add considerably to the comfort level, and this bike certainly has these. The handlebars can be raised or lowered to achieve the ideal riding position for your body type and preferences. You see now why this bike is so popular? Essentially it's the perfect comfort bike. Come and test ride one today!
