Product Information
Giant Transend 2 2012.
Would you like a bike that is inexpensive, but light, comfortable and easy to use? The Transend 2 could well be the bike for you. The bike is exceptionally light for the $500 price tag. The gears are easy to use, requiring only very light pressure to change and the shift is precise, not at all what you might expect from an inexpensive bike. There is a great gear range, there is a suitable gear for virtually any terrain, whether you are climbing Mount Buffalo or cruising along the bike track at St Kilda, you can easily find a suitable gear. The riding position is upright and very comfortable, not at all suited if you wish to race, but for commuting or recreational riding it is ideal. It has a broad cushy saddle, designed to sit upright (or nearly so) the handlebars are set up so your hands rest on the bars, rather than have to carry your weight. Much easier on the wrists and hands. Because you sit upright you can see everything around you, so its ideal for scenic bike tracks or negotiating city traffic. This bike is fun to use, sure its no high performance machine, but most of us don't require that, a comfortable bike that is light and easy to use is generally more important. Why not come along for a test ride, and find out for yourself?
