Fourty Bikes are designed for kids aged 6 to 10 years old.
If you are somewhere between 115cm and 150cm tall, you’re going to fit a Fourty.
Fourty bikes are designed to be easy to pedal, the bars are moderately low, allowing for a comfortable riding position, and the centre of gravity of the bike is also pretty low, Unlike BMX bikes, you’ll see that the seat height allows for full leg extension a much more comfortable way to ride for most of us.
Of course the seat can be raised or lowered, also moved forward or back.
With Fourty, the components work together to make sure you get where you need to go with a minimum of fuss [and energy].
The advantages over a BMX are correct length cranks and realistic gear ratios, together with the ability to get full leg extension because the seating position allows you to use the right muscles (less tiring, particularly on longer rides)Slick wheels mean fast rollin’, and that’s just what the Fourty’s got. 24 x 1 3/8″ tyres levered onto super light and super tough double walled rims with a cool spoke count means that whether it’s time to climb or cruise, Fourty’s wheels win hands down.
Greater stability because of the low bottom bracket (and centre of gravity) means the Fourty tackles high speed travel like a bullet train. No nasty ‘mid descent’ panic sessions with this geometry. Just solid, well thought out handling meaning you can enjoy the ride.
Fourty offers you options too – say what? Yep, apart from colour, you can choose either a 3 speed or a single speed.
If you want to do tricks a BMX is going to be a better option, but if you want a bike to ride places, well a Fourty is the go!
