Giant Areva 1 24" Girls Mountain Bike.

It is suitable for a child 7-11 years
 
Previously called the Areva 250 this Giant girls mountain bike is a really well-designed, good looking kid's bike. As the bike is quite light (made of aluminium), it makes it easy for your girl to push along. With a simple to operate Shimano gear system and a very effective brake system she will soon become quite confident riding. The brakes are designed with small fingers in mind, so they require only light pressure to stop the bike. The seat is well padded and comfortable as are the soft hand grips, so it not only fits well, but is comfortable to use.

The silver and teal paint finish not only looks great, but is extremely chip and scratch resistant. The frame has lots of clearance so that it can be mounted by a smaller rider, yet can be adjusted easily to cater for growth. As with all our bicycles it comes full assembled and with 12 months free service.

The Areva is ideal for smaller girls from 7 years of age. If your daughter is on the tall side for her age, or 8-9 years old the GT Scamp (on sale at $299) or the GT Laguna may be a better choice.

For a less confident girl the Mongoose Popstar NX3 is a nice choice.
