Giant Areva 2 24" Girls Mountain Bike

The Giant Areva 225 ( and called a Giant MTX 225 before that) is now called the Giant Areva 2 24 and is a sturdy, cool looking bike that is very safe for your child to ride.

With a low standover frame and adjustable seat pillar and head stem it will give your child years of use before she grows out of it. The Diamond Shield paint finish resists scratching, chipping and fading so there's a good chance it will still be looking good when its handed down to the next child.

A true mountain bike with a light oversized frame, 6 gears, front suspension and V-brakes, your child can experience the thrills of the bush trail and try out some inclines and jumps. Or she can just ride along the bike paths with mum and dad and not need to pedal furiously to keep up. As with all our bikes it comes fully assembled with 12 months free service.The brake and gear levers are designed for small hands, so she will have great control over the bike (prevents those anxious moments for Mum and Dad).

The Areva is ideal for smaller girls from 7 years of age. If your daughter is on the tall side for her age, or 8-9 years old the GT Scamp (on sale at $299) or the GT Laguna may be a better choice.

For a less confident girl the Areva Street or the Mongoose Popstar NX3 are a nice choice.
