Giant Anthem X Advanced SL 1.
The Giant Anthem X Advanced SL1 is the ultimate in a fast, cross country dual suspension bike. Previously the Anthem X Limited took pride of place, but this new bike using the advantage of carbon technology surpasses even the Limited. It is the fastest cross country Giant have ever built.
Carbon technology enables Giant to alter the characteristics of a frame by altering the type of fabric, the direction it is "layed" and the amount of material used. This means the frame can be refined down to bring about the ultimate in acceleration, strength and weight, according to the anticpated use.
It is a ready to race "out of the box" bike, suitable for pro levels. This bike is really fast, if you are looking for an edge, this is it. It provides better traction than a hard tail, yet has a similar weight. As with all bikes utilizing the Maestro system, pedal bob is virtually eliminated, while still being highly responsive.This system enables a rear suspension bike to climb better than a hard tail due to better traction. The bike simply feels great with the combination of light weight and excellent traction, the climbing ability is amazing.The equipment is full Shimano XT with an XTwheelset. If you combine the Fox 32 FIT RL 100mm suspension forks and Fox Float RP23 rear suspensionwith the lightest full suspension frame ever made by Giant. you can imagine it is going to be one of the best bikes available.The bike is not only fast, but very controllable, ideal for single tracks. The frame geometry, combined with the Fox suspension and wide bars inspire confidence through corners, it allows the average rider to attack corners at a greater pace than you could normally manage with confidence.
