Giant Trailglide 2 Comfort Mountain Bike 2011
The Giant Trailglide 2, much like the Trailglide 1, is a mountain bike that is designed to feel like a comfort bike. It has an ALUXX alloy MTB frame (not quite as light as the frames of the Talons) and RST Capa forks with 80mm travel. The Capa forks are designed for off-road riding along the mountain trails which contains some smaller obstacles and bumps. 80mm travel is a good amount of travel for a mountain bike like this one. The drivetrain is Shimano Tourney which is an entry-level gear system that will suit this type of riding just fine. The Alloy V brakes are very reliable and adjustable head stem allows you to adjust your riding position to suit your needs.
There is also suspension in the seat post which makes for a smoother ride.If you know that - as much as riding on paths is fun - you will be going off-road for a little bit of wild fun every now and then... but nothing too crazy... then you can have confidence that this bike will be able to handle it. The tyres are appropriate that you can ride on paths easily, but they still have the grip and tread needed for off-road riding.
