Colnago Master X Frame.
Would you like a piece of tradition? Well here's a chance. Colnago are currently offering this ultra light steel tubed road racing frame. Built up with Campagnolo Record the bike would weigh a mere 7.7 kg and would suit any level of rider, being a high quality, rigid road frame, capable of handling strong, competitive cyclists. A bit of a "wolf in sheep's clothing" so to speak. Available in a number of colours including Sarroni red, a replica of the bike ridden by Italian champion Guissepe Sarroni, who was one of the most successful riders of the late 1970's and1980's, a time when race frames were made of steel and alloy and carbon fibre were still materials of the future.
Among his long list of wins are races such as the World Road Championship, Milan San Remo, the Tour of Lombardy, the Championship of Zurich, the Giro D'Italia on 2 occasions along with 24 stages and winner of the Giro points classification 4 times. Throughout his brilliant career, Saronni rode Colnago bikes and most of them were finished in the distinctive blood red colour now recognised simply as "Saronni red". Colnago now offer enthusiasts with a nostalgic love of cycling the chance to own a replica of one of the most recognisable racing bikes ever to grace the roads of Europe. A traditionally constructed racing frame with lugs and steel tubing, the Master X Light combines the legendary Colnago ride and performance with modern lightweight tubing and the distinctive Saronni colour.
