Now in its third generation, the Colnago CLX 3.0 is proof that the design engineers at Colnago are a motivated group, not content to rest on their laurels.
Although sharing the same name as its predecessors, the CLX and CLX 2.0, the 2012 CLX 3.0 frame is a completely new incarnation. The front triangle is built as a monocoque and has many new features including internal routing of the rear brake cable, a different section C-HS1 headset system and a new fork made to work perfectly in combination with this new headset.
Sharing the same design outlook as the whole Colnago range, the CLX 3.0 has square section chainstays which have been developed to guarantee more stiffness for greater pedalling efficiency. Combine this with carefully thought out tubing profiles, the legendary Colnago geometry, the C-HS1 headset system and the new front fork along with forward thinking Di2 compatability and an outstanding appearance including a colour matched, aero shaped carbon fibre seat post and it's easily recognisable that the latest CLX, the CLX 3.0 is another step forward in the middle range of road bikes.
Catering for a very wide range of riders, the CLX 3.0 is available in 8 different sizes and 4 outstanding colours. 32 options!! Colours are matt black with white, gloss black with yellow, white with black and red with white as pictured here. A fifth option of blue with white will be available in a Shimano Ultegra Di2 version only.
The bike described here is assembled with the latest Shimano 6700 Ultegra components, which are amongst the most reliable available today.
Stunning in appearance and fantastic to ride, the Colnago CLX 3.0 is ideally suited to the more serious recreational rider who finds himself "racing" every time he is out with his mates, or to the club racer who does actually pin a number on each weekend.
