Shy shorts are a really sensible option for those riders who for whatever reason, don't wish to wear lycra cycling shorts (knicks). Modesty, embarrasment, inconvenience, a need for pockets, lack of change facilities, are all reasons people may choose to wear shy shorts.

Shy shorts provide a comfortable alternative to regular street clothing as they have within them what amounts to a pair of undi knicks. A lightweight gusset with a padded chamois providing the same protection as a pair of knicks. The only difference (apart from the appearance) is the looser feeling of the baggier shorts.
