Look Keo Easy road pedal

The Keo Easy is the introductory model from French pedal manufacturer Look. Aimed at the first time roadie or leisure road cyclist, the Easy is as its name implies. Easy to use and at only $95 a pair, easy to afford! With a composite body and steel axle they don't claim to be cutting edge, but they do share the same design technology of the upper models and so share the same cleat options.

The purchase price includes a pair of grey cleats which allow 4.5 degrees of lateral foot movement. Also available are the black fixed cleats or the red 9 degree cleats.

The standard Kéo has been developed with the goal of minimizing weight and a simplified cleat and pedal ensemble, while maintaining compatibility with all shoes on the market. Cleat entry and release is simple, secure and efficient.

The large support surface of the Kéo Easy assures stability of the foot on the pedal and good power transmission.

The Keo Easy has an excellent price to weight ratio for this pedal quality due to the composite pedal body.

The axle system is composed of cartridge ball bearings (10 mm interior x 19 mm exterior) that support the axle loads and a bearing that supports the radial loads. LOOK pedal axles are shock and fatigue tested to assure quality and reliability. The axles are approved after a rotational test of a million eccentric (which creates the shock each revolution) cycles at 100 rpm with 90kg loaded on the center of the axle. This is well above the required EN14781 test of 100,000 cycles at 65kg centered on the axle.

The cleat retention is easy to release and comfortable, ideal for beginning cyclists.
