Product Information
GT Aggressor 2.0
The GT Aggressor is great looking bike isn't it?
Aimed at the younger market, it is built to be tough. The frame and wheels are aluminium and made to be strong. The rims are what are called double walled, which means that they are stronger and better able to stand up to rider abuse (like hitting gutters or bad potholes). The triple triangle frame design is patented by GT and is known for it's reliability and strength.
The Shimano gears are simple to operate and quite robust, although certainly not indestructable. There are 24 gears, which gives an adequate raange for around town.
Braking is vey effective, it is fitted with Tektro disc brakes. Tektro is a reputable company that produces much of the equipment fitted to brand name bikes. The levers adjustable for the size of the riders fingers.
Suntour suspension works well, it is trouble free, given some occasional maintenance, and will last for years under normal conditions.
There are 2 other bikes worth considering the Giant Boulder 2 currently on sale at $429 (was $479) and the GT Avalanche 3.0 which was $659 Now on sale at $499
