Well Ernesto Colnago has created the CLX, a monocoque framed race bike with the proven Colnago geometry, taking this from “just another carbon bike” to the ranking of the world leader in handling, at a price that is strongly competitive with the leading Taiwanese brands. This bike is equipped with a Shimano Ultegra group set and fitted with a Shimano wheel-set. Being of Italian design, this bike has a distinctive eye-catching appearance. For 2010, Colnago took their very successful CLX frame and refined it to produce the improved CLX 2.0. Weighing just a little more than the CX-1, the Colnago CLX 2.0 consists of a full carbon fibre monocoque frame with curved, leaf shaped rear stays to enhance not only the braking ability, but also the ride comfort. The main tubes have stiffening ribs in the top and down tubes to improve rigidity, thereby improving the already impressive performance.The Colnago CLX design enhances the significant benefit of carbon fibre in its ability to absorb road vibration to improve rider comfort. With many of the attributes having their origins from higher models in the Colnago range, the CLX incorporates many features that contribute to provide such a brilliant ride in a bike at an affordable price for most of us. As with all Colnago's the fit of the bike is exceptional, and it comes in 8 sizes to ensure correct fit. As previously stated the bike not only looks great, but handles superbly.
